Our platform detects deviations and improves maintenance processes through notifications with a user-friendly interface.

We also work for producers of renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind energy and batteries. They use the Withthegrid Teleport gateway to add flexibility to the energy system and control their assets in a safe and reliable manner. For example, the Teleport is in the largest battery in the Netherlands, but also on the solar roof of farmers.

About the Job

Technical Solution Engineers are integral to the foundation of Withthegrid, and as part of our team, you will contribute significantly to the overall success. Your responsibilities will encompass enhancing the Teleport offering. This will involve implementing additional protocols into the Teleport gateway, onboarding new Teleport customers or developing local logic for on the Teleport.

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will closely cooperate with the commercial team, head of operations, and the technical team. This dynamic environment will provide ample opportunities for you to apply your problem-solving skills while fostering your creativity and embracing your ideas.

What you'll do

Add new protocols in Typescript to the Teleport asset library (see here). You will be diving into solar inverters, battery brands and wind turbines to make them controllable through the Teleport. Your work will unlock grid flexibility that was previously not available

Contribute to developing local logic for the Teleport when multiple assets are connected. You will be thinking about for example how a solar panel should react when there is no grid capacity available.

Support new and existing customers with onboarding on the Teleport. You'll be interacting with customers and helping them succeed.

What we're looking for?

Developer: Have JavaScript/Typescript skills. Or have a technical background and want to develop their skills.

Must be a self-starter: Highly motivated and willing to work with own initiative.

Curious: Ability and willingness to understand customers pain points and help them translate that to opportunities for the Teleport offering.

Business savvy: Ability to identify business needs, align solutions and quantify business beneﬁts. A plus is if you understand (parts of) the energy system.

Fast-paced: Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

Tech-savvy: Strong interest in technology and keeping up to date with the latest development.

Excellent verbal and written communication: skills in English and preferably Dutch; must have the ability to communicate with team members and customers at varying levels, conceptually and tactically.

Strong presentation skills: for meetings with multiple stakeholders.
