For example, the Teleport is in the largest battery in the Netherlands, but also on the solar roof of farmers.

About the Job

Technical Operations Engineers are integral to the foundation of Withthegrid, and as part of our team, you will contribute significantly to the overall success. Your responsibilities will encompass bringing the Teleport Gateway online. This will involve onboarding new Teleport customers, configuring Teleports for customers, carrying out remote Site Acceptance Tests or developing additional logic for on the Teleport.

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will closely cooperate with the commercial team and the technical team. This dynamic environment will provide ample opportunities for you to apply your problem-solving skills while fostering your creativity and embracing your ideas.

What you'll do

Bring Teleports online! Once a project is sold customers fill in an Asset Onboarding Form. This is the starting point for operations to ensure that a Teleport is configured in the right manner based on the assets that need to be controlled (e.g. Solar, Batteries, EV).

Until we have fulfillment centers, take care of preparing and shipping Teleports to customers. Dealing with stock.

Strategize and discuss with customers and team members on the best way that assets can be configured for specific cases. Many cases are unique and the best solution needs to be thought out. How many solar panels are behind a transformer? What is the grid connection limit? Can the battery discharge at full capacity at all times?

Together with solution engineers contribute to developing local logic for the Teleport when multiple assets are connected. You will be thinking about for example how a solar panel should react when there is no grid capacity available.

Your work will ensure that we go from MW of capacity sold to MW of capacity operational!

What we're looking for?

Developer: Have JavaScript/Typescript skills. Or have a technical background and want to develop their skills.

Must be a self-starter: Highly motivated and willing to work with own initiative.

Curious: Ability and willingness to understand customers pain points and help them translate that to opportunities for the Teleport offering.

Business savvy: Ability to identify business needs, align solutions and quantify business beneﬁts. A plus is if you understand (parts of) the energy system.

Fast-paced: Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

Tech-savvy: Strong interest in technology and keeping up to date with the latest development.

Excellent verbal and written communication: skills in English and preferably Dutch; must have the ability to communicate with team members and customers at varying levels, conceptually and tactically.

Strong presentation skills: for meetings with multiple stakeholders.
